About This Project
Surf-zone Coastal Oil Pathways Experiment (SCOPE) SCOPE was a multiphase surf-zone and coastal experiment executed in December of 2013. It was, like GLAD, organized by CARTHE and funded by GoMRI. Much like the name suggests, the experiment was designed to target processes which impact transport in surf-zone and coastal environments. The components of SCOPE ranged from near-shore surface drifter deployments to air-sea interaction observations made aboard the mobile SPEC platform (see RIVET-I).
