Ph.D. Candidate
Originally from Jupiter, Florida, Kayla is a University of Miami double-major in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. Her professional interests focus on coastal design, protection, and restoration. Following an internship at Cummins & Cederberg, she is currently a Graduate Research Assistant. Her research focuses on the coupling of wind and wave loads, as well as the design and integration of civil structures within both the natural environment and the urban fabric.
